Pajama Program provides new pajamas and new books to children in need, many who are waiting and hoping to be adopted. Thousands of the children we serve live in group homes and shelters and are shuffled often between temporary living facilities. Many of them have been abused or abandoned, and have never enjoyed the simple comfort of having a mother or father tuck them in at bedtime and read to them. Since 2001 we have provided more than 400,000 pajamas and books to children in need nationwide. Our Pajama Program segments on NBC’s The TODAY Show which aired in December 2008 and The Oprah Winfrey Show, which aired August 2008 and twice in 2007, helped us grow to 73 chapters in 42 States nationwide.

Make A Mark will be hosting a pajama and book drive on the day of the event. For every new pajama (infant - 5yrs.) and/or unused book, you will receive additional raffle tickets. The more pajamas and books you bring, you'll have a greater chance to win.

Heart 4 Africa is a place where orphans become human again. Three years ago when we found some children living in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya unable to laugh or play due to the lack of physical energy, we decided that while we may not be able to change the whole world we could change the whole world for a child. With each new friend of Heart 4 Africa, we grow in the capacity to help and we have been able to buy these original children a brand new home with running water and electricity. The children are playing and laughing. They are human again!! Children being children....this is what Heart 4 Africa is all about.
